spring growing season is upon us...

don't know about you, but lilacs are my sensory signal that spring is here, especially around easter time. i just love the various shades of blue, purple & white...can't wait to pick a few up for my spring table arrangement!

and while we're on the subject of spring/flowers...i wish i had a big backyard so i could make my own vegetable garden like this one as layed out by better homes & gardens in conjunction with jamie oliver. the boyfriend actually bought me a book about growing my own garden (and raising animals too) last year...it's still a dream of mine (ours) to have a farm someday...
